During most of my "amateur radio" years, I've always preferred to erect my dipole antennas above ground when possible.
However, there are times when a below ground-level antenna system is the only way to get on the air.
In this video, Tracy (VE3TWM) shows how he designed, built, and tested his homebrew below ground-level HF antenna at a portable location.
Other than some pesky QRM, Tracy's antenna system worked quite well. This is another great idea you can put into your future projects book.
