If you're into antenna experiments, check out this video from Simon (VA7BIX).
Simon makes a good copy of a "fractal antenna" for HF testing. This unconventional antenna design is widely used in cell phones and some UHF television antennas.
In this instance, Simon's antenna was placed on 10 meters where propagation was poor for testing day. Simon will investigate his project when propagation improves.
Nonetheless, this antenna design has some promise, so stay tuned for Simon's update.

Unlocking the Power of Fractal Antennas! ππ‘ | Fact or Fiction? #hf#antenna#hamradio
G'day Mates, this fun video is diving into the mysterious world of "Fractals" and the "Hilberts Curve" a series of infinite squares, and in this instance, what does adding 'fractal squares' do to the SWR to an ordinary 6ft piece of 3 inch metal tape? Let's watch and find out - wooohooo. Cheers and beers mates, and see ya on the airwaves soon.
ps. the band conditions on 10 meters were poor, so this was just an objective side by side comparison of what cutting the squares did for impedance and resonance.
THANKS FOR WATCHING MATES.
