A random wire antenna, properly designed and matched to your transceiver, can deliver hours of DX contacts at minimal cost.

In this video, Michael Martens (KB9VBR) shows us how to design, build, test, and use this "classic" antenna design.  The key to operational efficiency for this antenna is a 9:1 transformer and a FT-140 3 mix Ferrite Toroid.

Michael takes us step-by-step through the building of the 9:1 transformer.
