Now you can turn some of your camping equipment into an impromptu 10 meter Yagi antenna for your next "field" operation.

In this video from Simon (VA7BIX), we see how ordinary tent poles and other assorted junk box items can turn into an effective, simple Yagi beam for those 10 meter openings.

This is what I came up with using 2 sets of Tent Poles that make not only an incredible vertical antenna, but also a 2 element Yagi beam for 10 Meters! No additional wire needed just the 2 sets of tent poles! VITAL INFORMATION: Each of the 2 sets of Tent Poles - Comes With 13 sections.... so you need to remove one section from one set, and put it on the other. So then the REFLECTOR IS 14 SECTIONS and the DRIVEN ELEMENT IS 12 SECTIONS (Which is 6 Sections Per Side) MEASUREMENTS: Each Tent pole section is 15 inches (38 cm) in length...
